LiDAR excels at bare-earth under vegetation and dense infrastructure; photogrammetry delivers high-resolution colour orthomosaics and textured models at lower cost. Many crews carry both. Tell us your deliverables and we'll recommend the payload.
Do I need a licence to fly a mapping drone?
In Canada, commercial operations fall under Transport Canada's RPAS rules and typically require a pilot certificate and a registered aircraft; in the US it's the FAA Part 107. We can point you to the current requirements for the platform you're considering.
